How did SnapCor get Started?

"Running any business can be challenging, but running a niche business in permit expediting - with no tools built for the industry - is even more challenging. After years of cobbling together various off-the-shelf solutions, we developed SnapCor to fill the technology gap in companies like ours.

SnapCor was conceived by industry professionals who have filled out thousands of permit forms, stood in line for hours, and had countless meetings with permit clerks, plan examiners, and commissioners to acquire permits, approvals, and sign-offs for greater New York City area construction projects.

The team at RPO had extensive working knowledge and experience - having actually used the digital intake systems, later NYC BIS, and currently DOB Now - developed by New York City agencies and has created a robust system for AEC professionals involved in every step of the permitting process.

SnapCor was not built by Ivy League grads looking for the next big idea. It was built by problem solvers - in the trenches - who lived the day to day frustrations of building in New York City.

SnapCor has been in use at RPO since 2019, propelling it seamlessly through Covid by bringing automation, efficiency, and transparency across all work processes including applying for and tracking permits, tracking violations, and managing the Certificate of Occupancy process for projects. SnapCor has been a life saver for RPO, and now we are excited to bring it to the industry as a valuable tool for ALL construction professionals.
